Problem: Provide integrated tire handling system from the curing presses through inspection and finishing departments into the warehouse.
Solution: A take-away conveyor from the curing presses elevates quickly to free-up valuable floor space and reduce damage from fork lifts. Overhead conveyors used for accumulation to absorb fluctuations due to rate differentials between operations.

Problem: Mechanize production line and integrate with work stations, giving workers maximum access to install components.
Solution: Build the appliances on a slat conveyor as they move through the numerous operations. Subassemblies and components are located beside slat conveyor. Slat conveyor was selected because of its durability. It permitted workers to stand on it performing assembly operations as it was moving.

Problem: Automate mould making operations by reusing molds to reduce labor and mould cost and increase production.
Solution: Reduce handling by locating mould making equipment in closed-loop conveyor system. The production stages were connected with heavy duty live roller chain conveyors to handle the 5000 lb pallets in an abrasive foundry environment.
