"The Best Profile for Success"

Agent/Manufacturer's Rep: You should be entrepreneurial, energetic, technical, analytical, disciplined, astute, with common sense, practical and commercially realistic. These are the characteristics we are looking for in an agent.

Engineering Skills Required: We have found that engineers have the greatest success in our industry. In order of preference: mechanical, industrial and electrical, or a technical person with similar analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

Drawings: Should have an excellent knowledge of mechanical drafting to enable preparation of drawings with AutoCAD, to be transmitted electronically for the exchange of information such as surveys, proposals and contracts.

Installation: The agent should possess the ability to subcontract locally and coordinate the mechanical and electrical installation as a bid to us on a fixed fee basis, to be included in the Lump Sum contract price. Sadler will supply the supervision and system management.

Complimentary Products: Complementary capital goods equipment and machinery would be packaging, fillers, sealers, tapers, strappers, unitizers, stackers, palletizers. robots, AGVs, storage and retrieval systems.

Non-complementary Products: Non-complementary products would be fork-lifts (used), consumable supplies/parts for equipment & machinery, materials handling equipment such as dollies, push carts, dock levelers and other non- technical products.

Competitive Products: Sadler is interested in dealing with agents who will commit to not representing competing product lines. We will do the same with respect to competing agents in a given territory.

Markets Serviced: Manufacturing and processing industries using unit containers such as bags, bales, boxes, cases, drums, pallets, skids, totes, etc. for containing products during processing, storage or shipping. Bulk handling of heavy and abrasive materials such as sand, gravel, stone, ores etc. are not within our scope, with two exceptions: handling small quantities of food products and refuse/recycling tires (crumbs and shreds) and garbage-sorting conveyors.

Territory: Exclusive territories by industry will be by written mutual agreement.

Agency Size: We are open to discuss agreements with multiple or a single man agency. The criteria for success will be bottom-line performance.

Contract Size: The optimum value of these applications should be targeted between US$50K to US$500K. Amounts less than (or greater than) this are certainly possible but usually not viable for the agent or Sadler in terms of the time/expense vs. revenue earned.

Target Market
Sadler engineers and manufactures custom conveying systems for case and pallet handling, horizontally and vertically , for manufacturing, processing, warehousing and distribution applications.

Engineering: Greater engineering content is preferred. Applications with no detailed build-as drawings but only performance specifications and a general layout drawing, are ideal. This permits the optimum in creative problem-solving.and allow us to use our own standards and methods that we know works.

Products: A wide range of standard pre-engineered unit handling conveyors. We also manufacture automated transfer cars and telescopic belt conveyors. Our expertise is with special applications in vertical conveying and heavy duty pallet handling conveyor systems. This more complex type of equipment is fully assembled, wired and shop-tested prior to shipment. This simplifies the erection, installation & commissioning process. The customer is able to witness performance and approve the equipment before it leaves our factory. We will send a video or the customer can visit our factory.

Loads Conveyed: Up to 6,000 lbs and sizes up to 10 cu ft for horizontal conveying and up to 6,000 lbs. and 6 cu ft for vertical conveying.

Markets: Products and systems have been adapted to many industries with particular success in: chemicals and oils; electronic and electrical; food, beverage and pharmaceuticals; furniture; fabricated metals; mail and courier; corrugated paper; paper converting; rubber and plastic; stone and glass.

Applications: We specialize in applications rather than in specific industries. Some of these are accumulation, assembly, elevating, machine feeding, distribution, live storage, sortation, palletizing, strapping, transportation and shipping.

Manufacturing vs. Distribution: Our strength lies with custom, not off-the-shelf equipment..Our niche is the unusual or special application requiring ingenuity and creative solutions. Our mission is to engineer and manufacture the best equipment, of the highest quality, at a reasonable cost. We find this approach best suited to manufacturing applications where special conveyors are required, where the buyer is seeking innovative design and quality as well as price.

For warehouse/distribution systems that are very price sensitive we try to be even more creative and innovative.

Value: The target value of these applications is around US$50,000 to US$500,000.
